- [Instructor] In chapter three, I shared a lot of information on the building blocks of cloud computing: a really important topic for the exam and for cloud security in general. Let's review some of the key points. (whooshing) Virtual servers provide us with access to cloud computing capabilities. They are highly configurable with customizable processor, memory and networking capabilities. We can provision these servers in a matter of minutes and use them to build out virtual data centers. Storage is the second fundamental building block of the cloud. In addition to having compute capacity, we need to be able to store and archive data. There are two major categories of cloud storage: block storage and object storage. Block storage is the type of storage that most computers users are familiar with.
