- [Instructor] The International Organization for Standardization publishes a cloud reference architecture in their document ISO 17789. This document lays out a common terminology framework that assists cloud service providers, cloud service customers, and cloud service partners, in communicating about roles and responsibilities. Over the course of this chapter, we'll explore the different elements of the cloud reference architecture. Before we dive in, it's important to note that the cloud reference architecture concepts are a helpful framework, but there are no reference architecture police. You should feel free to use whatever terms and framework makes sense for your organization. Now, that said, the exam does cover the cloud reference architecture, so be sure that you're familiar with it.
