This document lays out a common terminology framework that assists cloud service providers, cloud service customers, and cloud service partners, in communicating about roles and responsibilities. Over the course of this chapter, we'll explore the different elements of the cloud reference architecture. Before we dive in, it's important to note that the cloud reference architecture concepts are a helpful framework, but there aren't any reference architecture police. You should feel free to use whatever terms and framework make sense for your organization.
