- [Instructor] In this section, we will delve into the Cisco collaboration components that we have seen in many of the retail stores, hospitals, and businesses, called Cisco Unified Communication Manager. Cisco Unified Communication Manager, or CUCM, is an IP-based communications solution to support routing voice and video calls over IP. The workflow generally involves two components. One is the call control and the other is device management. The call control are basically all the steps required to get two end points communicating from setup to tear down. The device management are the provisioning, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of different hardware devices such as IP phones, gateway, telephonic trunks, amongst others.
