- [Instructor] For the Meraki demonstration, we're going to use the DevNet always on Meraki device to show how we could use the API for the Meraki dashboard. In order to get an API key, we need to enable API access first, as well as get our profile based API key. The way to enable access is go down to organization, settings, and scroll to the bottom of the page. And you could see dashboard API access. By default, this box is disabled. So you want to enable this first, then you want to get your API key. You want scroll up to your user on the top right hand corner, and click on my profile. And by default you will have no API key, because I'm using a shared always on sandbox. So that's why the keys are already created.
