There's no such thing as perfect data. In this video, learn how to look for good data sources given the time, constraints, and data sources available.
- [Instructor] Finding a good data source is typically harder than it sounds. Whether you're working with or without a budget, there's going to be limitations as to what you can get, given the time, the constraints, and the resources available. It's not uncommon for availability, usability, accuracy, and data quality to be less than optimal when deciding on using a particular data source. Data sets that are typically used for a research project or industry work will depend on trade-offs that are made between these categories. In reality, there is no such thing as a perfect data set, and oftentimes we pick data based on the availability and the needs, as well as what we believe we can derive from the information that we gather.
