- [Instructor] Sticking with the same scenario that we had in our prior video where PC one and PC two, they do want to receive this video transmission from the corporate CEO that's going to be sent from this video server. PC three does not want to receive it. We saw that with unicast, PC three didn't have to deal with those packets but it didn't scale well. We put a heavy load on the video server and the video server's network connection. Let's consider another option which is broadcast. With broadcast, the great news is the video server can send each packet just one time. Out goes the packet and it goes everywhere within the entire subnet. And that's sort of the bad news as well it goes everywhere within the entire subnet. Meaning that we only have to send the packet once, that's great for the load we place on the video server. That's great for the load we put on that video server's network link, but it's not so great for PC three. PC three did not want to receive that video traffic…
