- [Instructor] Now we are ready to do a baseline time series analysis. Up to now, we've done a lot of conceptual work and documented our decisions. Remember our planning spreadsheet? We decided on numerators and denominators for rates. And we decided on time increments. Now that we made those management decisions, it's not that hard to go get historical data. So let's pretend we went and did that. Now we need to actually calculate those historical rates and make a time series graph of them. So I made some exercise files for us as examples. First we'll look at an Excel spreadsheet. On one of the tabs I'll show you how I calculated the Pay1 Rate. Remember that's the rate of sales conversions. Then I'll also show you an example of how you can calculate rates when you have the same numerator, but different denominators. I'll also show you about making a time series graph for both of these.
