- Should your business encounter serious problems like a natural disaster, or a major data breach, there are many options available for you to quickly and effectively recover your systems and data. This includes disk backups, data duplication, system virtualization, and cloud services. These have changed the paradigm of cyber security resiliency. Today, modern backup methods use alternative storage that copies data from one system to a backup system. For example, organizations perform disk to disk backups that write data from the primary disk to special disks set aside for backup purposes. A typical backup option is to use removable disks like USB drives which have become very cost effective. Another is to have backup disks on a specialized server known a storage area network, or a SAN.
