- [Instructor] Previously, we spoke about the components that make up a security policy. One of them is address objects. Address objects are used to reference source or destination IP addresses. An address book is a container for address objects. Address objects can be referenced in security policies, security zones, and NAT configuration. The addresses contained in an address book can be IPv4 and IPv6 addresses, wildcard addresses, or DNS names. By default, Junos devices have a global address book. It is possible to create more address books and attach them to security zones. Address objects defined in the global address book can be used in any zone, but addresses defined in the zone-specific address books can only be used in that zone. Let's configure an address in the global address book. I'll first start with the command edit security address book, and do a question mark, and here we can see the global address book.
