- [Instructor] In order to configure the router, you need to be a member of the network that the device creates. You can do this in two ways, by plugging your computer into one of the switchboards if your device has them or you can join a temporary wireless network that the device is configured to provide out of the box. This default network will often have its name printed on a sticker on the bottom or the back of the device as well as an address you can visit in your browser where you can log in to the management interface. There will usually be a username and password provided on the device or on a little card. Once you join the network, you can access the management interface through a web browser. The management interface is generally found at an address like 192.168.1.1, 192.168.0.1, 10.0.1.1 or similar. That's because the router is the first device on the network it creates.
