The three amigos

- The power of three is a concept that embodies the idea that two resources alone cannot build a solid argument, however, by adding a third, there is support enough to reinforce and support an idea. In Agile, this is something referred to as the three amigos. Imagine a woman is given two sturdy cylinders and a wooden plane, and is asked to build a solid structure. Over the course of the exercise, with these materials alone, she will find that there are very few combinations, if any, that would allow her to succeed in the given task. Now, instructed to fulfill the same request, she's given a third wooden cylinder. Going through the exercise once more having received a third component, her chances of success have greatly increased. This one addition has created balance to the structure she was tasked to build, resulting in a solid structure. Realizing there was very little she could do with two alone, we see the power of three.
