iSCSI configuration
From the course: Introduction to SAN and NAS Storage
iSCSI configuration
- In the last lecture you learned about the theory of iSCSI. In this lecture, you'll see how to configure iSCSI with a live demo. I'll show you how to set up the storage system to support iSCSI, how to configure a LUN for your clients, and we'll also connect to that LUN and use it from a Windows client. (electronic music) As usual, we want redundancy. So, we've got the network set up with a fabric A and a fabric B side. You can see on the port on the storage system connected to fabric A we're going to have IP address 172.23.3.120, and there's another physical port connecting to another physical switch and I'll use IP address 172.23.3.121. Okay, so let's get this set up. So, I will go onto my storage system. Here you can see the SVMs we set up earlier for SMB and NFS and Fiber Channel. Now let's set up the storage virtual machine for iSCSI. So, I will click on create. Obviously this is my New York iSCSI, if I can spell it right, storage system and the protocol I want to use is iSCSI…
