Working with drives
- There are a number of command line utilities on the A+ that deal with what I'm gonna call working with drives. And I thought we could just knock them all out in one big shot. So all of these utilities I'm about to show you are command line, but they really do more specifically work with drives, so let's go ahead and get started with one of my favorites, format. The format command is designed to allow you to format drives from the command line. Now, you wanna talk about really, really dangerous programs? This is a great example. By the way, don't even bother trying to run this unless you're running as an administrator, Windows will stop you cold. So let's go ahead and play with format a little bit. Now you take a look, what I've got here, is a thumb drive. And there's some stuff on it from way back and long ago, and what I wanna do here is, I guess I could go on and delete it, but I'm actually gonna format the drive. So let me close this. And we'll take a look at our D drive one more…
