In this video, Emmanuel Henri discusses why prevention against IoT attacks matters to you and your stakeholders.
- [Narrator] IoT risks matter quite a bit,…especially on house appliances.…On their own they have no danger whatsoever,…but the doors they open to other devices…is where the danger lurks.…And hackers know this all to well.…In most cases these internet of things devices…don't have a huge impact on enterprises,…but as soon as you allow people to bring their own devices…you introduce the possibility of IoT devices…to appear in the corporate networks.…And therefore, possibility of hackers…to exploit these devices to do all kinds of no good.…
Again, it's a question of where these devices are connected.…Are they on the main network where a hacker could exploit…network access to main devices…through their unprotected devices?…Or they're connected to isolated independent networks.…Over time I am certain these devices will have…better security as we witness some issues reported…in the news.…But in the meantime, you want to make sure you're…not part of these news.…So to make sure you don't fall prey to hackers…and especially if you're bringing your devices to work…
