- [Instructor] Let's talk about tools.…We've hit on a few of them during this course…but we're going to go ahead and wrap up our discussion here.…So, what's important is that you keep in mind…that a fool with a tool is still a fool.…This is something you hear a lot in the IT world…and the fact of the matter is, is that we have a tendency…to start thinking about which tools and technology…to leverage before we understand our own requirements.…That's typically not a good idea.…Study the capabilities of the tools…you're looking to leverage,…so understand what they do beyond the hype,…beyond what your friends are telling you.…
Test the things, leverage the tool.…Use it in a particular problem domain.…Move an application with it.…Again, make sure to do a proof of concept.…Before you move to any tool,…whether it's a container orchestration layer,…whether it's a container itself, such as Docker and Rocket,…whether it's a security tool,…you need to understand what its capabilities are,…and the only way to do that is a proof of concept…
