- Troubleshooting wireless boils down to, you've got some kind of client that can't access a wireless access point. Now, that access could be I just can't get on it at all, or it could be you'd have a really low signal, or it could be intermittent. Any of these problems all boil down to really looking at the same places, and it's just a matter of how bad they are in terms of how much damage they're gonna cause in terms of either not letting you connect at all or being a really low signal or being intermittent. It's really the same problem, so let's talk about what those problems are. Probably one of the big first issues you run into more than anything else is, well, you didn't configure it right. It surprises me how often. For example, if you set your wireless access point up so that you're not broadcasting an SSID, it's easy to do little silly things. Like changing one letter in the SSID, or typing WPA instead of WPA2 and it's going to prevent you from going on. So, first of all…
