- So continuing to build our familiarity with storage arrays operations, we start at the physical view in our simulator. We've already grabbed this group of 12 hard drives and created a RAID six group and we have created a volume called hubbertvol. This was covered in a previous exercise. And now what we're going to do is connect that to a server. So we just hop over here to Mappings. You'll see hubbertvol pop up, you'll see Host Killian pop up and we connect those together. Now when we hop back to Summary, we should see configured hosts, which includes Killian. And we see Host to Volume Mappings and we see hubbertvol. So that's a pretty simple way to map a server to a volume. It's important to recognize that when you have one of the storage arrays or multiple of these storage arrays, they typically have lots of volumes in the interest of consolidation and lots of servers mapped to these volumes.
