Securing device access
- [Instructor] With our device in hand and our Apple ID set up we're ready to work through device access. Remember iOS device access comes in the options PIN, custom numeric, custom alphanumeric, touch ID, and facial recognition. Let's go to the device and see. Currently we have nothing set up for a passcode on our device. So let's set one up. Let's go to Settings and select Face ID and Passcode. Currently there's nothing set up. We should take a look at this. At the top these are the things that the Face ID is going to be able to open. We're not going to set up Face ID. We are going to scroll down and select Turn Passcode On. On this screen we want to look at the Passcode Options. So let's select Passcode Options. And we see Custom Alphanumeric, Custom Numeric, and 4-Digit. Those go from the most secure to the least secure. So we're going to select Custom Alphanumeric Code. Once it's entered we'll select Next and verify. Now we have a secure, custom alphanumeric code securing access…
