- [Instructor] So first and foremost,…you need to understand that security and governance…needs to be a holistic concept to your architecture.…You can't really just secure a database…or just secure an application,…or do something at that fine-grained of a level…and expect to have a secure system…because there's going to be attack vectors…or means in which hackers can come in to the system…if we don't consider security and, to a lesser extent,…governance much more holistically.…So this means that you're picking a solution…for more than one solution instance.…
And, so, trying to get people to think about that is tough,…'cause we're used to thinking about security…as an afterthought, and we go ahead and add encryption,…or we go ahead and add identity access management,…and user ID, passwords into systems,…and by the time we do that, it's really going to be too late.…This needs to be something…that's planned into your architecture…and implemented as a core system.…So again, looking at the same kind of charts…that we looked at prior, we have security and governance,…
