- Being involved in conversations at the right time will allow for sufficient planning. The idea is the earlier the better. There are varying methods of testing that can be applied to a process. Being able to vet which ones are going to be the most beneficial relies on two things, knowing enough about each testing method to identify its use case and knowing when to apply them. Take testing a scrum team for example. Consider you are working on a team that has two week sprints. At kickoff the tester will receive information about the project that is about to launch. This information should be sufficient to understand the very basic asks of the project. It is at this point you will be able to assess what's important, more directly, why does this project matter? Asking questions like what does success look like, and what is the overall ask that this project is answering to will help you gather relevant information.
