- [Instructor] The server administrator could decide to use a orchestration tool like OpenStack instead. But the idea is the server administrator configures the subnets not the network administrator. So the server administrator can determine the IP addresses of hosts in the subnet and the default gateways. The server administrator using an orchestration tool can put virtual machines in those subnets. So in this example UserVM1 has been allocated an IP address of 172.16.1.5. UserVM4 has been allocated an IP address of 172.16.2.5. Let's go back to UserVM1. Here's V center. I'll open a console to UserVM1 and I'll open a console to UserVM4. I'll select networking and as you can see here, the host has been allocated an IP address of 172.16.1.5. This is once again UserVM1.
