We love DNS, well, because as human beings we're terrible at memorizing IP numbers as ways to get around to stuff. It's so much easier to remember www.totalsem.com than it is my IP address for my web server, which even I don't know off the top of my head, cause I use DNS too. The challenge is is that sometimes DNS can give us trouble, so what I wanna do in this episode is talk about how do we configure DNS and then secondly we're gonna talk about how do we deal with DNS when we have trouble. So let's get things configured. So the first place I want to go to is over to my network connections. And I'm using Windows 10 here, but this works almost identically in all versions of Windows. So what I want you to see right here is we say obtain an IP address automatically. So here's an example, this is a DHCP client. Now if you look underneath here, you'll see it says obtain DNS server address automatically. Now you'd say to yourself, why would they keep that separate from the rest of the DHCP…
