Configuring system updates

- [Instructor] You may find it annoying that Windows updates itself frequently. But, keeping current is an important part of computer security. So keep the updates coming, but check on when they happen. Open the Settings app, press the Windows and I keyboard shortcut. And choose update and security. Say you leave your computer on all the time, but only work specific hours. To ensure that Windows doesn't restart your PC to install an update while you're working, click the link Change Active Hours. Set the times you work. For example, I get up about 6:00 a.m., and I generally will work all the way through at night until about 10:00, on and off. I use the gizmo here to set those hours, and then I click Save. An update requiring a restart might still be installed overnight, but now, at least, it won't happen in the day as it did once when I left for lunch, and I wasn't too happy about it.
