Challenge: Testing estimations
- It's time for a quick challenge. A tester's involvement in Agile ceremonies is incredibly important to fully understand the scope of a project. Their contributions to the team are not free of cost or time. What's often misunderstood is how much of a cost or how much time testing is going to take. It's important to include testers wherever decisions are being made. Testing can easily be misunderstood when not included regularly in conversations about bug fixes and development of new features. For this challenge I want to you to consider a tester's role in backlog grooming, Sprint planning and story kickoff meetings. Take a moment to compare how a tester's role changes from one meeting to the next. How much information can a tester gather from each meeting to test each ticket?
