VOP SOP
- [Instructor] What we're going to take a look at now is we're going to take a look at VOP SOPs, and these are a way to create custom surface operators within the geometry context. And this is hugely powerful and something that I do all the time for all sorts of simple and then very elaborate things. Basically it's a way to create your own operators without having to write them from scratch and see your vex code. So what we're going to do is we're going to go into the model here, and I've just got our little cross. Hold on, let me just home this so our grid is lined up. And I've changed the color and just subdivided it. And what I'm going to show you is how we build one of these objects and just do a simple, use some noise to distort the points on this just a little bit. Okay, so this is what we're going to do. I'm going to right-click, I'm going to type V-O-P, and you can see we have all these different VOPs, and what I want to lay down is a point VOP. So I'm going to lay this down…
