Grid and snapping

- [Narrator] Now we're going to take a look at a super important and super basic fundamental of 3D which is just our grid and we're going to look at how we can display our grid, change its settings, and then also use it to snap objects too, which is something we often (mumbles) do when we're moving things around and when we're modeling points or faces. What we're going to do is we're going to turn on our grid so that is the upper right icon here, with the display reference plane Ortho grid, so I'll turn that on. I'm going to turn off the training room display, hit the escape key, go into view mode, and, okay, so we have our torus and our grid. So quite simply, all I need to do is make sure the grid snapping is on right here, select, our cursor is on, grab the object, hit the T key to get the manipulator, and then, boom, you can see that we're snapping to these points on the grid and you can see these little grid points ghosted and highlighted around.
