- [Voiceover] In this chapter, we're gonna focus on creating an audio-reactive geometric effect, mainly using Houdini's CHOP system. Most of the SOP system for this will be already built for you, and we're gonna focus on using CHOPs to take audio and analyze it in different ways to create a bunch of procedural animation channels. The result is gonna be what we see here, and I'll play a little bit of this back for you. (suspenseful electronic music) And this example is designed to show off both whole space, kind of rhythmic audio analysis that we see with the cubes rotating, as well as continuous audio analysis that we see visualized with this cube expanding and the colors changing, and some different things happening. So we'll dive in, and we'll take a look at how to use audio within Houdini to create procedural animation.
