Trimming media and adding clips to the timeline

- [Instructor] The Editor timeline in HitFilm is where you assemble your project. However you don't want to throw everything from your Media panel straight onto the timeline. You want to be sure only to use the best bits from your source clips. That's what the Trimmer is for. Providing a quick way to select the best sections from your clips, before adding them down onto the timeline. When you select a clip in the Media panel it will be displayed up in the trimmer. You can then use the playback controls here to watch the clip or skip to a specific time. Dragging on the horizontal bar here is a quick way to scrub through the clip. These buttons move backward and forward a single frame at a time. Which is useful if you're being very precise in your trimming. You can also type in a specific timecode by clicking on the time display here. The time on the right side of the Trimmer panel displays the total duration of your selected clip.
