Transitions
- [Instructor] Sometimes, a simple cut from shot A to shot B just isn't enough. This is where transitions come in. They can be found in the effects panel, which is something we've not really looked at, yet. If you're still on the default layout, you'll find the effects panel in one of the other tabs down the bottom left, in the same container as the media panel. The effects panel contains all sorts of stuff, some of which we'll get to later in the course. For now, though, you want the transitions folder, inside of which you'll find a collection of transitions, which work in a very simple drag and drop manner. You would normally take a transition and apply it to the cut in between two clips on the timeline. In this case, I'm gonna take the cross dissolve transition and apply it to the cut between these clips I already have on the timeline. Note how as I drag the transition across the cut, you can see where it's going to be placed. A transition can be placed before, after, or right on…
