- [Instructor] It won't take long for your edit to expand beyond the width of the timeline panel. Knowing how to easily move around the timeline is critical to being able to work efficiently. You can zoom in and out of the timeline using the scale slider at the bottom left. This enables you to move between a zoomed out overview of your entire project and a frame by frame, very detailed close up. You can also click on the buttons on either end of the scale to change it. If you're zoomed in to any degree, you're going to need to go to move around to see different parts of the project. You can use the scroll bar, down here, or activate the hand tool to drag the timeline around directly with your mouse. The small arrowhead next to the scale slider opens up some additional options for customizing the timeline view. The size of the video and audio tracks can be adjusted individually, depending on what you need to see. For example, once you get to editing your audio, it can be useful to have…
