- [Teacher] We've now covered how to import and organize your materials, look to the core editing tools, and we've applied a few transitions. We covered tracks briefly earlier, but let's dig into how they work and how you can use them. You start off any editing project with a single video track and a single audio track onto which you can drop your video, audio, and images. Creating new tracks is very simple. You can drag any clip onto the blank space above and below existing tracks to automatically create a new one, and place that clip onto it. You can also create a new track from the timeline's menu without needing to immediately add clips onto it. Remember that you can have as many tracks as you want. You're not limited in any way inside HitFilm. This gives you a lot of flexibility in how you approach your editing projects.
