- [Instructor] I mentioned the history panel back when we were touring around the interface, but it is worth taking a moment to fully understand just how useful it is and how it works alongside the undo and redo buttons. The best way to understand its usefulness is to see it in action. So, create a new project and then import a video clip. For this chapter it doesn't really matter what exactly it is Add the clip from the media panel to the timeline and at this point find the history panel, make sure its active and visible. If you're on the default layout you'll find it down here in one of the tabs next to the media panel. You'll see there's already a few items in the list here. Now trying moving the clip on the timeline, note how the history panel notes down your action. Try performing a series of edits using the editing tools again, each thing you do is listed in the history panel.
