- [Instructor] You now have all the skills you need to handle exercise one, which is to create a rough cut of your project using HitFilm. You can use the Exercise Files for this or your own footage. It's entirely up to you. But the Exercise Files do provide the perfect mixture of structured interview clips and B roll cutaway and beauty shots, so they're definitely a good set of materials to practice with. Some key things to remember based on what we've learned already. Number one, after importing your video footage be sure to organize it so that you know where everything is. Number two, try to make use of most of the editing tools, switching between them as necessary to complete the work. Number three, if you're not sure where to start, remember that you can always open up the completed project from the Exercise Files to take a look at how I did it. Finally, don't worry too much about fine tuning at this point. We'll get to all that soon enough. For now, focus just on that initial…
