- Hi, I'm John-Paul Ballard. I'm an instructional designer and e-Learning expert with two decades of experience of building curriculum. My specialty is helping people turn instructional complexity into understandability. In this course, my goal is to show you a simple and effective way to immediately improve your curriculum. I'm gonna do this using material that is practical, actionable and backed with real-world examples and theory. In chapter one I'll start by defining learning objectives. I'll also discuss why learning objectives are worth using and what happens if you don't use them while developing your curriculum.
Chapter two is all about theory. I'm going to try to relate each bit of theory to what it means to you and to the courses you work with. In chapter three, we'll explore the finer details on how to create learning objectives. I'll show you the best ways to align learning objectives with your target audience and your delivery method. In addition, I'll give you some insights into the implementation of learning objectives for brand new courses as well as for existing courses that you want to make better. In the final chapter of this course, I'm going to show you how to align your learning objectives with your course assessments.
I'm excited to get into the details with you. So let's get started.
