- [Instructor] It's always nice to be able to put a face with a voice and a name. A webcam can help you do just that and add another level of personalization and personality to your sessions. Let's check out some options. If you're working from a laptop or tablet, you probably already have a webcam built into your device and it's most likely just fine for running a virtual session. If you don't have a builtin webcam, you can use an external one. Even if you do have a builtin webcam, you might want to consider an external one as well to offer more camera options. For example, say you're a science teacher demonstrating a lab. If you have an external webcam, you can set it up to view your experiment and still have access to your computer so you can comfortably run all the tech and communication tools during your session.
