Join Vince Kotchian for an in-depth discussion in this video Review reading comprehension questions, part of Test Prep: GRE.
- [Voiceover] There's really a wealth of information…available to you if you're willing to not only practice…ETS reading passage questions, but also to analyze…those questions to the point that you can explain…why the right answers are right,…and why each wrong answer is wrong.…So in this video I'll take you through some things…you can ask yourself when reviewing a question…whether you answered it correctly or not.…So the first thing to ask yourself is…did you understand the question being asked.…Kind of a fundamental thing,…and a lot of people overlook it,…or they get it at first, and then they forget…what the question's asking by the time…they're looking at answer choices, so make sure…you understand the question, then you check back in…with it throughout the process of answering it…a couple times.…
Then think about if you understood…what type of question it was.…Was it a detail question,…was it a function question,…was it a whole passage question?…Be able to kind of classify it to yourself.…Think about if you used the correct part of the passage.…
