(chiming music) - Hi, I'm Karl Kapp, and I'm excited about this course and sharing with you my tips and techniques for creating a winning grant proposal. Over the course of my academic career, I've been involved in designing and creating educational video games and technology-based instructional products, and in order to fund the development of games and educational technology, I had to learn how to become a successful grant writer. In this course, I share my lessons learned from both winning and losing grants and explain how you can position your grant proposal for the highest possible chance of success.
We'll discuss why you should write grants, and we will highlight many potential sources of funding from local, state, and government agencies to foundations and corporations. This course explains elements of a grant solicitation, the parts of a successful grant application, and common mistakes you'll need to avoid. The good news is, if you are an academic professional at the K through 12, community college, four-year college, or university level, you already have the skills, knowledge, and talent you need to be a successful grant writer.
Stick with this course, and you'll be on your way to winning grants in no time.
