- [Voiceover] In this video, I'll explain the importance of knowing where you're starting as well as how crucial it is to have a specific goal for your ACT score. Knowing both of these numbers will make your preparation a lot more efficient. So the easiest way to get a baseline score is to take a practice test. You can use the practice ACT on the ACT website which is actstudent.org. Now third party-authored ACT tests are not what I would recommend. Their questions are subtly but significantly different than real ACT questions. So if you want an accurate score, use a test written by The Real ACT. Other than the ACT's website, the easiest place to get Real ACT tests is in The Real ACT Prep Guide. So if you've taken the test from the website, make sure you print it and take it under timed conditions. Just follow the directions that are on the test for each section.
