Working with the grid

- A feature of Flash that I'm very fond of is the Grid. And you can set any size grid you like, any aspect ratio you like, any color you like. And let's just set that grid to Show and you see what I mean We can make this look any number of ways. So the Toom Boom Grid is more traditional in the sense that it looks like the old animation grid. And let's go into the drawing view so we can really see it. And this is the 12 field. You can see the number 12 there, field guide. This was a transparent cell layer that we would put beneath the drawings and then put the back one on beneath that and you could plan out your scenes using various field settings. And honestly, in this day and age of working digitally, it's a complete anachronism. It's designed to be familiar to traditional animators and it's the one feature of this program I wish Toom Boom would just make it optional and let's have something like the Flash Grid.
