Understand table headings
- [Instructor] Now that we have our basic table structure in place, let's take a closer look at how we could improve this structure based on the content that we have represented. Right now all we've got is a series of rows. Inside of those rows we have some data. Everything is exactly the same in this table and that's actually not true. Some pieces of data are slightly different than others and it would be interesting to include that information in our HTML markup. So for example, here we have a row of information that talks about the item number or the product or the service, the price and so forth. And usually that type of information is called a header. Usually it's maybe bolded or somehow displayed differently than the rest of the information in the spreadsheet. And so we would probably like to mark it up to reflect that difference between that header data and the data in the rest of the table. And there is indeed a tag to do that and it's called the TH tag for the table heading…
