Load progress in Firefox 3.6

If you view the custom video controls we built in Firefox 3.6 or earlier, you will notice the load progress bar doesn't work. This is because in those versions of Firefox they didn't support the buffered attribute. Now we use to get the amount of video that's been loaded. Instead they provided buffered data right on the progress event object. So if we want to support those versions of Firefox with a load progress bar, you have to build in a method to check the progress event data if the buffered attribute doesn't exist. At this point it might not be worth building in a fix because Firefox 4, which does support the buffered attribute, is being adopted by users pretty quickly, but it's still good to know that it's an issue in case you notice it not working.
