In this course my goal was to give you a good understanding of the HTML5 document editing application programming interface. I've covered how the API works, how to send commands to the interface, and how to edit both parts of a page or a full page in an iframe. Using these features you should be able to implement simple HTML editors for your web applications. As with most of the HTML5 application technologies, the specifications for the HTML5 document editing API remain influx. I suggest that you keep up with these changes in order to make sure that your code works with current and future browsers. And be sure to check out the other HTML5 titles as well as the excellent JavaScript Essential Training with Simon Allardice here on the lynda.com Online Training library. As always, feel free to use my working examples as a starting point for your own applications, and I look forward to seeing what you do with the HTML5 document editing API in your own projects.
