Android 2.0 issues

There are quite a few issues with HTML5 video on the Android platform. First is that one some older versions you can't even play the video. The only way to get the video to play is to trigger it with JavaScript. The user can't start it themselves. You can help this by turning the whole video into a play button, so in the same way that we created a play button out of a div element, you can do the same with the video element to turn it into a play button, which will allow the users to click the video and start it. Second is a bug with the type attribute. If you included the type attribute on your source tags, which we did in the tutorials, it can break play back on the Android.

Including the type attribute is good for browsers, but if your Android users are complaining you can remove the type attribute to help it work.
