The Capture App gives you the ability to take complete control of your GoPro HERO5 remotely. You can change settings like white balance and be able to hit record when your GoPro is in a hard-to-reach location or on an athlete. In this video, author Richard Harrington walks you through how set up and use the Capture App with the GoPro HERO5 Black.
- For the greatest level of control,…I absolutely love using the native app, GoPro Capture.…That's available for both iOS and Android.…You can run it on a tablet or smartphone.…And what's great about that,…is it gives you the ability…to take complete control over the camera.…You can change settings, you can step in…and remotely monitor, maybe you've put a GoPro…on your set and you've hidden it…but you want to see the shots, well that works well.…Now, from 50 feet way, even 200 feet away,…you can actually check the shot…if it's not properly exposed,…adjust exposure compensation,…and it works really quite well…so you can really get the shot you were expecting.…
Now, let me show you how this actually works.…First up, you're going to want to power up the device.…So make sure your camera is powered on…or tap the screen to wake it up.…Now, simply tap the connect button.…This will bring up the ability to connect a new app.…What I'm going to do here, is connect a new device.…And I'll choose the Capture app.…You now see that you can launch your app.…
