- Hi, my name's Rich Harrington and welcome to this course on the GoPro HERO5 cameras. We're going to cover all of the essential skills you need to get up and running with the GoPro camera line, which includes both the performance and entry level cameras. Whether you want to shoot stills, video, or even time lapse sequences, we'll look at all of those work flows in this course. Now do keep in mind that this is a fundamentals course, so I'm going to walk you through everything you need to know, including how to get the camera out of the box, which is actually a bit trickier than it sounds, to making sure it's properly set up, as well as covering different strategies for different shooting scenarios.
We'll take an extensive look at the menus and the many options and controls. This course is meant to get you out the door, so you're ready to capture the footage or photos that you want and get the results that you need. We do have several other project-based courses available here in the online library to help you explore some of the specific work flows with this camera and using the GoPro ecosystem. But this course is the best place to start for you. I'm going to share all of the practical knowledge that I've gained by working with these cameras for many years and show you which settings really matter to get the best results.
So, with that in mind, let's explore and start to dig into the GoPro HERO5 camera line.
