Early on in the development of Grasshopper 3D, David Rutten, the developer, incorporated the Galapagos tools, which introduced a lot of designers for the first time to genetic and evolutionary solvers. In this video, and in a series of videos, we're going to be focused on the evolutionary solvers and in particular the Wallacei plugin. We're picking Wallacei because it does a really good job of documenting what's happening, so with the downloads you get a PDF that really explains how the plugin is working, and the principles behind its operation. And it also provides a lot of good example files. So it's a great introduction to evolutionary solvers, and their application in design. So I'm going to download that plugin.
