- The intention, tone, and content of most formal business conversations we engage in with our managers and peers in other departments is very different than the type of banter and collaborative conversations that we are used to having with our fellow creatives when we are working on our projects. This can make it easy for us to get tripped up and lose focus when speaking with those managers and folks in other departments. We're just not as familiar and comfortable with that form of communication. To support you in engaging in effective dialogue with our left brain peers, here are some business conversation distinctions to keep in mind. I call them the three spheres of corporate communication.
