- Hi everyone, John McWade. It was brought to my attention a while back that NASA makes its immense library of photos available to the public copyright free. In some cases there are a few restrictions, so you'll want to read the fine print, but if you're a space buff this news is awesome. There's everything here. From the early days of the space program, through the moon landings, the space shuttle, the Hubble Space Telescope, the International Space Station, the Mars missions, Pluto, galaxies and beyond, everything in between. Up to the minute, high resolution, free to use. It's fantastic. So what to do with all this stuff. I'm sure there are a million things, certainly in a classroom. First thing I did though was make a nice calendar for my desk in one of those fold back CD cases that's made for this kind of thing. You just print and cut loose sheets and stack them in there.
