When and how to use infographics
- [Narrator] Infographics are often a common staple of visual communication campaigns, but they should only be used when necessary, because they aren't always the best solutions for certain campaign goals. For example, if the campaign is focused on growing sales, infographics may not be the best option because they come across like ads instead of thought-leadership content. People are much more likely to watch a motion graphic with a sales message than read an infographic. That said, the demand for infographics is still on the rise, but in non-sales related topics. People use infographics as thought-leadership content, humor pieces, product explainers, without including a sales pitch, of course, and more. The types of infographics that people prefer is evolving as well. The traditional long-scroll infographic maintains its appeal most often when it provides evergreen content.
